Before emailing please read some of the frequently asked questions.
Can I see examples of the invites? - Yes. Email me with your mailing address and I would be happy to send out a few samples.
How long does the process take? - It really varies. Most projects are as little as 2 to 3 weeks from start to finish but some can reach up to 6 or even 8 weeks. It depends on wether or not a custom photo shoot is needed, how quickly your chosen photos arrive, etc... every project is just unique due to the nature of doing high quality custom work. As invites are of a time sensitive nature, I do ask that you start the process as far ahead as possible.
If I don’t need 100 invites, is the cost less? - The printer responsible for my projects prints runs of 100, 250, 500, and higher. They offer the highest quality and the best prices around, but you can not order quantities between the above stated numbers. Even though you may need less than 100 invites the printing cost is the same. So, unfortunately my prices can not vary by the quantity you need as my cost remains the same.
What kind of photos can you use and how do I send them to you? - I can work with photos that you have already printed and have them scanned here. After we have established an art direction, I’ll provide an address for you to mail them to. I can work with digital files that you have but I need the resolution to be rather high. Photos that you have acquired should be taken with a camera that produces photos of 4 megapixels or higher. You can send those digital files to
me via email or mail me a burned CD.
Where are you located? - Kansas City MO. My brother provides custom photo shoots for me in Cincinnnati, OH. His professional photo site and portfolio can be viewed at www.willisphotoart.com
Do you travel for Custom Photo Shoots? - I can travel almost anywhere for a custom photo shoot if the
expenses
are covered. Currently most custom photo shoots are exclusive to Kansas City and Cincinnati.
If I’m out of state can I do a Custom Photo Shoot myself? - In most cases, with careful direction and instruction, I can guide you through the process of doing a custom photo shoot yourself. You would need a high quality digital camera. The main component missing though from what I offer would be the professional lighting and seemless backdrop that I provide.
Can you put my face on an existing movie poster? - No. Movie poster art is copywrited material and so that would be illegal. Depending on the poster though, I might be able to recreate the look and feel of that poster pretty closely and fit you into what looks very much like your favorite movie.
